Course Description

Recent tax code changes, as well as recent events, have combined to create an environment where many immigrants to the USA are flat-out scared to file tax returns, even though they are, according to IRS rules, required to file tax returns.

Tax professionals who serve clients with immigration concerns are therefore reporting large drops in the numbers of immigrant clients filing tax returns, as well as large increases in the anxiety levels of the clients who do file.

In this webinar training, we'll delve into how to provide excellent tax preparation service to clients with immigration concerns in today's fear-filled environment.

Course Objectives

  • Identify the fears that immigrant clients have with regard to tax filing.

  • Confidently handle immigration-specific concerns on tax returns, such as new rules about the claiming of tax credits by immigrants.

  • How to communicate effectively and accurately with immigrant clients who have concerns about filing their tax returns.
